Started training this morning. Met my buddy Jeff at the gym around 630 this morning and had one of the toughest workouts I’ve had in a long time.
My legs are sore, but they’re not dead … tired? Yes. Dead? Nope. I’m happy with the work that was done this morning and I’m excited to see where things go from here.
Did 250 reps on leg press and leg curls, did some sumo squats with the barbell [these were ridiculously insane, I still can’t believe I actually did these], deadlifted 95 lbs, and did some ab exercises I’ve never tried before/haven’t done in forever. After all that, in a strange way, I just want to do it again/do more.
Unfortunately, it came time to have to get ready for work so lifting only lasted about an hour. Still, it was a great way to start my Monday morning and an even better way to kick off the week!! Maybe if this weather breaks I’ll go for a run outside when I get home from work. Feeling like I’m coming down with a cough, though, so maybe I’ll give the outdoor stuff a break until my lungs don’t want to vacate my body and/or the weather warms a bit.
Now it’s back to my hard boiled eggs and oatmeal for the rest of the morning. :)
